About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command's Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground is conducting market research for the Modi Family of Systems (FoS), a modular defensive Electronic Attack (EA) system designed to enhance soldier capabilities in electromagnetic spectrum environments. The solicitation seeks contractors capable of providing comprehensive sustainment support, including spare parts procurement, material and software maintenance, field service support, training services, safety oversight, manual development, program management, and field testing. Interested vendors must submit responses by March 14, 2025, at 5:00 PM EST, including detailed company information, corporate capabilities, facility clearance levels, and CAGE/DUNS numbers. The technical data package is owned by Sierra Nevada Corporation of Sparks, NV, and the opportunity is classified under NAICS code 541330 for Engineering Services. Responses must be submitted via email to the designated government points of contact, with the understanding that no compensation will be provided for information submitted during this market research phase.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate any specific set-aside designations, meaning the opportunity is open to a broad range of contractors. While no specific award value or budget range is provided, the comprehensive nature of the sustainment requirements suggests a potentially significant contract scope. The Modi FoS is designed to operate worldwide, supporting United States forces' dominance in battlefield electronic warfare environments. The unclassified nature of the work and the focus on Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) warfare support indicates a strategic investment in advanced defensive electronic systems. The contract appears to be seeking long-term sustainment capabilities for a critical military technology, with potential for ongoing support and potential future expansions of the Modi Family of Systems.
