About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 6 seeks to lease a mobile MRI trailer, with proposals due September 23, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. The procurement is unrestricted and firm-fixed-price.
Place of performance is Fayetteville VA Medical Center—Health Care Center, 7300 S Raeford Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28304. The contractor must provide a fully functional mobile MRI unit, specifically a Siemens Viato MRI system housed in a mobile coach, equipped with a patient wheelchair lift, waste disposal box, sharps container, and lockable entry door. The trailer must accept 480V three-phase Russellstoll power with onboard backup generator and include completed Enterprise Risk Assessment documentation prior to operation. Delivery, setup, and pickup costs are included in contract price. The contractor provides five days of applications training at standard rates and unlimited telephone support following installation. All preventive and corrective maintenance for both imaging system and trailer is the contractor's responsibility, with service calls requiring initial response within four hours and on-site technician arrival within 48 hours during normal business hours (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. EST, excluding weekends and federal holidays).
The performance period is six months (November 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027) with two optional three-month extensions. The estimated budget is $40 million. Award will be made on best value, considering technical capability, past performance, and price. Quoters must submit SF 1449, technical proposal, past performance documentation, and pricing. The contracting officer is Patsy Simpson (Patsy.Simpson@va.gov). Amendment 0001, issued September 15, extended the deadline from the original date; offerors must acknowledge receipt of the amendment by the new deadline or risk rejection.
