About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) mobile medical capabilities for military field operations through a Request for Information (RFI). The Office of the Surgeon General (OTSG) aims to assess industry capabilities for providing lifesaving medical technologies deployable in various operational theaters. Vendors are invited to demonstrate mature technologies at a Warfighting Forum on May 21, 2025, at Fort Detrick, MD, with specific requirements including medical treatment facilities that can be deployed within 90 minutes and possess capabilities for triage and surgical services. Evaluation criteria will focus on technologies with Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7 or higher, ability to interface with DOD infrastructure, and operational flexibility across extreme temperature ranges from -30F to 130F. Interested vendors must submit a 5-page white paper and submission form by March 24, 2025, at 5pm EST, detailing technical specifications, deployment methods, energy consumption, throughput capabilities, and cost estimates.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this opportunity, and the government has not disclosed potential award values or specific budget ranges. The medical equipment and supplies manufacturing opportunity (NAICS 3391) seeks systems with self-leveling capabilities, internal climate control between 50-100F, and compatibility with both commercial and military power sources. Vendor technologies must demonstrate rapid deployment capabilities, with shelter systems for post-operative recovery needing to be deployable within 30 minutes. The government emphasizes that this RFI is not a formal solicitation and will not reimburse any costs associated with responses or demonstration participation. Vendors will be notified of their status by the end of April 2025, with the primary goal of understanding current market capabilities for mobile medical technologies in military field operations.
