About this opportunity
This solicitation is seeking proposals for the MK 18 Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) Family of Systems (FoS) and other Remote Environmental Monitoring Units (REMUS) from the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command. The Navy utilizes the MK 18 UUV FoS for various operations, which are based on REMUS UUVs manufactured by Huntington Ingalls Industries Unmanned Systems Inc., who acquired Hydroid Inc. in 2020. Proposals are due by December 31, 2023, with evaluation criteria focusing on the offeror's ability to provide REMUS variants for both the MK 18 UUV FoS configuration as well as other commercial and foreign military applications.
There is no set-aside designated for this procurement. The primary NAICS is 334511 and PSC is 1660, with REMUS UUVs currently manufactured by Huntington Ingalls Industries Unmanned Systems Inc. as the incumbent. The place of performance will be PC Beach, Florida, with an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract and task orders potentially totaling $25M over five years for quantities ranging from 5-50 UUV systems per year. Proposals should demonstrate the ability to provide sustained logistics support and training globally for the Navy and other REMUS customers.
