About this opportunity

The Marine Corps Systems Command published a Special Notice to solicit industry feedback on Draft MIL-DTL-32707A, which specifies requirements for extreme cold weather mitten shells and trigger finger shells. The draft document and a consolidated comments form were made available for industry review between December 1st and 30th, 2023.

The Special Notice aims to develop specifications and standards to accommodate various design solutions and manufacturing processes for procuring mitten shells and trigger finger shells. MARCORSYSCOM seeks industry comments on the attached draft specification by December 30th via a consolidated comments form. All contractors, regardless of size or status, may provide comments for consideration. Given the opportunity, interested parties should review the draft, submitted comments, and subsequent adjudications prior to responding no later than the scheduled closure date of January 30th, 2024. This will allow vendors to better understand the military's need for protective handwear and prepare compliant offers for procuring mitten shells and trigger finger shells.
