About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration is conducting a market survey for demolition and reconstruction of the Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, with responses due by June 22, 2026. This is a market survey only; the FAA is not accepting unsolicited proposals and will not reimburse respondent costs.

The project scope includes demolishing the existing Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant and constructing a new single-story Pre-Engineered Metal Building of approximately 4,900 gross square feet, incorporating industrial waste treatment processing areas, office and work spaces, equalization tank area, storm shelter, and restroom facilities. The scope encompasses replacement of Lift Stations #1, #3, and #4 with new double-walled fiberglass wet wells for secondary containment; demolition and fill-in of Lift Stations #2 and #5; and full removal of the existing concrete containment trench housing industrial waste force mains. New 4-inch inner-diameter by 6-inch outer-diameter double-walled forcemain piping will connect lift stations to the new plant. The new building will be located north of the existing plant. Decommissioning of the existing plant occurs after flow diversion to the new facility is complete.

The estimated project value falls between $10 million and $20 million. Work is performed at Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center. No set-aside applies. NAICS code 237110 governs (Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction).
