About this opportunity
Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, under the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command, is conducting market research through a pre-solicitation sources sought notice for industrial gas supply services. The procurement seeks vendors capable of supplying compressed and liquefied gases under NAICS Code 325120 (Industrial Gas Manufacturing) and Product Service Code 6830. Interested firms must demonstrate capabilities in providing 300 cubic feet of Argon gas, 300 cubic feet of a 75%/25% Argon/Carbon Dioxide mixture, 200 cubic feet of Oxygen gas, and 225 cubic feet of Acetylene gas to support four EMS Metals Tech operations. Vendors must submit a capabilities package including company business size (annual revenues and employee count), business status (such as 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, woman-owned, or small business designations), anticipated teaming arrangements, and examples of similar services provided to both government and commercial customers. The deadline for submitting responses to this sources sought notice is December 17, 2025, with no specific evaluation criteria detailed beyond the government's interest in assessing vendor interest, capability, and socio-economic category.
This pre-solicitation notice contains no set-aside designation, meaning all business sizes, including those up to the 1,200-employee size standard, are eligible to respond. No incumbent contractor or current vendor information is provided in the notice. The specific contract award value or budget range has not been disclosed in this sources sought phase, as the government is still conducting market research to determine the feasibility and available sources for the requirement. The gas supply volumes are clearly quantified, totaling 1,025 cubic feet across the four gas types needed for the Metals Tech operations. The procurement is being conducted during the pre-solicitation phase, indicating that a formal solicitation may follow based on the responses and information gathered from interested parties during this sources sought period.
