About this file

This document is a Draft Statement of Work (SOW) for a gas supply contract for Seymour Johnson Air Force Base's Metals Tech operations. The requirement involves supplying specific gas volumes: 300 cubic feet of Argon gas, 300 cubic feet of a 75%/25% Argon/Carbon Dioxide mixture, 200 cubic feet of Oxygen gas, and 225 cubic feet of Acetylene gas. The SOW provides detailed technical specifications for gas cylinder handling, including requirements for marking, valves, color coding, hydrostatic testing, and transportation of government-owned cylinders.

The procurement is currently in a pre-solicitation sources sought phase under NAICS Code 325120 (Industrial Gas Manufacturing), with a size standard of 1,200 employees. The Air Force is conducting market research to determine potential vendors' capabilities, business size, socio-economic status, and previous experience. Interested firms are requested to submit a capabilities package demonstrating commercial and government gas supply experience, with a focus on their business classification (such as 8(a), HUBZone, service-disabled veteran-owned, woman-owned, or small business) and potential teaming arrangements.
