About this opportunity
Argonne National Laboratory seeks commercially available metal powders—stainless steel (AISI 316L, spherical, gas-atomized, 1000g), zirconium (99.2% purity, 2000g), yttrium (99.9% purity, 250g), and hafnium (95% purity, 500g)—for research and development use, with quotations due August 13, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST. Evaluation is based on lowest price, technically acceptable methodology.
Place of performance is Lemont, Illinois. All powders must have maximum particle sizes as specified (45 micrometers for stainless steel, zirconium, and hafnium; 500 micrometers for yttrium). Quotations must be firm fixed-price, F.O.B. Destination, with Net 15 payment terms. Offerors must provide country of origin for each item and exclude shipping insurance from proposals. The NAICS code is 331492, Secondary Smelting, Refining, and Alloying of Nonferrous Metal; PSC is 9650.
Offerors must submit a fully executed copy of the ANL-70 Request for Quotation form and complete the ANL-70A Representations and Certifications document. Part 2 of Reps & Certs (Buy American Act certification) applies to offers of $10,000 or more for supplies.
