About this opportunity
The Hawaii National Guard has issued a Notice of Intent to Sole Source for preventive maintenance and repair services for Megadoor systems. The agency intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems USA, located in Peachtree City, Georgia, under the authority of 10 United States Code 3204(a)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2). The contract involves comprehensive maintenance services for two Megadoor systems, including drive belt replacement, guide block replacement, fabric patching, and various component repairs and replacements. The procurement falls under NAICS Code 332321 (Metal Window and Door Manufacturing) with a size standard of 750 employees. This is not a competitive solicitation but rather a notice of the government's intent to proceed with a single source.
The purpose of this notice is to inform the contracting community of the government's justification for sole source procurement, specifically that ASSA ABLOY is identified as the only certified facility capable of performing maintenance, repairs, or modifications to Megadoor systems. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements must submit complete written information describing their capabilities by 11:00 AM Hawaii Standard Time on Monday, August 25, 2025. Responses must be sent electronically to Warren Sabugo at warren.m.sabugo.civ@army.mil, with telephone responses explicitly not accepted. To challenge the sole source approach, contractors must provide clear, compelling, and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the government. The government reserves the right to determine whether to proceed with competitive procurement based on any responses received during this notice period.
