About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Eustis has issued a Special Notice for a federal contract opportunity focused on procuring Class III packaged hazardous materials. The opportunity, identified by ID a123303f9f6a4726889511a1f0c02622, is specifically for supporting the MCoE Hazardous Material Program. The contract involves acquiring essential materials such as lubricants, spray paints, cleaners, sealing compounds, and corrosion prevention compounds. This procurement is being conducted under an 8(a) Sole Source designation, which indicates a specific approach to contracting. The opportunity was posted on April 16, 2025, with a due date of April 30, 2025.

The primary objective of this Special Notice is to continue the established procurement process for hazardous materials, which is based on a Memorandum of Agreement (AZZZ0-606A-20-027) between LCII in Durham, NC and multiple military entities at Fort Benning, GA. The contract is classified under the NAICS category 562211 for Hazardous Waste Treatment and Disposal and PSC category 9160 for Miscellaneous Waxes, Oils, and Fats. Eligible contractors will need to meet the 8(a) program requirements, which typically provide contracting opportunities for small businesses owned by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals. The current procurement appears to be continuing a relationship with a sole supplier, suggesting that potential bidders must carefully review the existing agreement and demonstrate alignment with the specific program needs. Contractors interested in this opportunity should pay close attention to the detailed requirements and ensure they can provide the precise hazardous materials specified in the contract.
