About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has published a Special Notice regarding the intent to award a sole source firm-fixed-price purchase order to The MathWorks, Inc. for Institute-wide licenses for MATLAB software and associated toolboxes. This Notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, as The MathWorks, Inc. is the only known responsible source for the required MATLAB software and services.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to provide unlimited access to MATLAB and its various toolkits for NIH researchers. The NIH currently has individual licenses with differing expiration dates, which has led to renewal lapses. The Institute-wide license would address this issue. Contractors have until 10:00 am EST on September 3, 2024, to submit any responses demonstrating the capability to meet the requirement. The NIH anticipates making an award approximately 5 days after the notice is published, unless another qualified source is identified. This opportunity is set aside for small businesses.
