About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking transportation services for Academy students in Oklahoma City, specifically requiring shuttle transportation between various lodging properties and the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC). The market survey aims to identify capable vendors who can provide daily transportation services using 22-seat vehicles, with routes operating Monday through Friday and including both day and evening trips. Interested vendors must submit a comprehensive capability statement detailing their transportation service experience, business history, and strategic approach by June 6, 2025, at 5:00 PM CST. The evaluation will focus on vendors' ability to meet the draft Performance Work Statement requirements, including providing professional drivers, maintaining modern vehicles, and executing precise routing schedules. Submissions must be electronically emailed to gilbert.n.park@faa.gov, with the primary NAICS code for this opportunity being 485113 for Bus and Other Motor Vehicle Transit Systems.
The procurement may be conducted as a full and open competition or potentially set aside for small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, or 8(a) certified firms. The contract structure includes a base year with four potential option years, targeting transportation service providers capable of meeting the FAA's specific operational requirements. While no specific award value is explicitly stated, the NAICS size standard is $32.5 million, suggesting significant potential contract value. The transportation service will require approximately eleven total daily trips, utilizing vehicles no older than 11 years and equipped with heating and air conditioning. Vendors must be prepared to provide professional, credential-tracked transportation services that support the FAA Academy's training programs, with an emphasis on reliability, punctuality, and student support.
