About this opportunity
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), specifically the Terminal Construction Group's AAQ-550 Boston Office, is conducting a market survey to identify contractors capable of designing and constructing stand-alone building structures for nine Airport Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) facilities located across the Northeast region. The structures will measure either 15' x 20' or 20' x 20' in clear inside dimensions and will serve as Tower Simulation Systems at the respective airports. Interested contractors must demonstrate capability in both design and construction of finished building structures to be considered for this procurement. This is a market survey only and not a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) or Screening Information Request (SIR); responses will be used for informational purposes to support the FAA's acquisition strategy development and to understand the commercial marketplace capabilities. The deadline for submitting statements of interest and capabilities is March 18, 2026, and contractors should note that the government will not reimburse any costs associated with preparing responses to this market survey announcement.
This pre-solicitation notice carries no set-aside designation, meaning all qualified contractors regardless of business size or classification are eligible to respond. The nine ATCT facilities are located at Manchester Airport (NH), Portland International Jetport (ME), Albany International Airport (NY), TF Green International Airport (RI), Hudson Valley Regional Airport (NY), Atlantic City International Airport (NJ), Westchester County Airport (NY), Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport (VA), and Princeton Airport (NJ). No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in this market survey announcement, as the FAA is primarily seeking to understand available commercial capabilities prior to formal solicitation. The survey does not constitute a commitment or promise to contract, and respondents should understand that participation in this market survey does not guarantee future contract opportunities or obligate the government in any manner.
