About this opportunity

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is conducting a market survey for sidewalk repair, replacement, and addition at its ZOB-Oberlin Facility located in Oberlin, Ohio. The project, funded through the 2022 Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, seeks to identify potential contractors capable of completing extensive concrete work across five distinct facility areas. Interested vendors must submit a comprehensive capability statement detailing their service types, previous contract performances, and years in business, with submissions due by January 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM CST. The FAA will use these responses to develop a source list and determine whether the procurement can be set aside for small businesses or disadvantaged business enterprises. Vendors are required to email their submissions to Bryon Nolan, including the Market Survey Identifier 6973GH-25-00644 in the subject line, and should provide an SBA 8(a) certification letter if applicable.

The market survey currently has no specific set-aside designation, allowing participation from large businesses, small businesses, and disadvantaged business types. The scope of work involves approximately 2,944 square feet of concrete surface work, including sidewalk replacement, new driveway construction, ADA ramp installations, and curb/gutter modifications. Technical specifications require 4-inch minimum concrete depth with 4000 psi strength, wire mesh reinforcement, and adherence to strict ADA compliance standards. Work is expected to be completed during standard business hours (7 AM to 4 PM, Monday-Friday), with contractors required to maintain secure facility access protocols and provide a 10-year warranty on labor and materials. While no specific contract value is mentioned, the comprehensive nature of the project suggests a significant infrastructure improvement investment for the FAA's Oberlin facility.
