About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Reserve Command is seeking a professional traffic and parking management contractor for the March Air Reserve Base Air Show, scheduled for April 10-13, 2025, in Riverside, California. The primary service involves guiding approximately 40,000-50,000 vehicles daily through base entry/exit gates and managing parking across three designated zones with complex logistics and security requirements. Contractors must provide at least 27 trained flaggers/traffic handlers who can efficiently route vehicles, maintain professional conduct, and follow strict base security protocols. The solicitation (FA466425Q0009) was originally posted on February 25, 2025, with the response deadline extended to March 18, 2025, following two amendment notices. While specific evaluation criteria were not explicitly detailed, the government appears to be prioritizing contractors with demonstrated capability to manage high-volume traffic scenarios safely and efficiently.
The contract is being awarded on a full and open competition basis with no specific small business set-aside, targeting the NAICS category 812930 for Parking Lots and Garages. The performance will occur at March Air Reserve Base, covering approximately 145 acres of parking zones including areas for distinguished visitors, handicap parking, and general parking. The event is expected to attract around 500,000 visitors, with traffic management responsibilities potentially extending beyond 1800 hours depending on the Airshow Security Planner's determination. The contract will be a firm fixed-price award, though the exact contract value was not specified in the provided documentation. Contractors must obtain base access credentials 30 days prior to the event, provide company-branded uniforms, and submit a comprehensive after-action report following the multi-day air show event.
