About this opportunity
The United States Department of State, specifically the U.S. Embassy in Belgium, is seeking a contractor to provide maintenance and emergency repair services for furnaces and central heating systems in U.S. government-owned or leased properties throughout Belgium. The solicitation will be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed-price contract, focusing on servicing both gas and fuel heating systems in apartments, houses, and office buildings. All contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to submitting an offer, and compliance with Belgian laws and regulations is mandatory. A mandatory conference call will be organized by the Embassy for all interested bidders, with specific date and time to be announced in the full solicitation. Electronic submissions will be accepted, with a response size limit of 2MB per email, and the government reserves the right to award the contract based on initial offers without further discussions.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates there are no specific set-aside designations for this contract, meaning it is open to all qualified contractors in the Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors category (NAICS 238220). The solicitation was posted on February 6, 2025, with responses due by February 20, 2025, suggesting a relatively short preparation window for potential bidders. While specific award values are not disclosed, the contract will cover annual scheduled maintenance and emergency repair services for heating systems across multiple U.S. government properties in Belgium. The procurement will follow Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines, specifically provision 52.204-7 related to contractor registration. Interested contractors should carefully review the full solicitation when released and ensure they meet all registration and qualification requirements before submitting their proposal.
