About this opportunity
The Executive Office of the President's Office of Management and Budget has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the Made in America Market Research Hub, a market research initiative not constituting a solicitation or commitment to contract. Posted on April 14, 2026, this RFI seeks industry input on establishing a centralized, scalable capability to support domestic sourcing determinations across Federal procurement and financial assistance programs. The initiative is authorized under the Buy American Act and Executive Order 14005 and aims to strengthen compliance, transparency, and analytical capability in Federal procurement related to Made in America requirements. The opportunity targets technology and software development companies capable of architecting complex data systems and artificial intelligence solutions. This RFI represents preliminary market research to inform future acquisition planning for the proposed hub system.
The Made in America Market Research Hub project seeks to create a standardized, continuously updated dataset and analytic capability organized across four phases: data identification and gathering from external and Federal sources; data governance and contextualization using ontologies; artificial intelligence layer implementation with generative or agentic AI; and reporting and analytics to identify American-made products with verification suggestions. Responses must be submitted by 11:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, in Microsoft Word format not exceeding ten pages using Times Roman 12-point font to Salman.Shahid@oa.eop.gov and Franky.M.Awuvey@oa.eop.gov. The solution must be modular, scalable, and capable of integration with existing Federal systems including FPDS, SAM.gov, and agency contract writing systems, with API-based or structured data exchange capabilities strongly preferred. All businesses, including small businesses and innovative commercial providers, may respond, with no cost reimbursement available. Participation in this RFI is voluntary, responses will not be formally evaluated, and participation does not confer competitive advantage in any future procurement.
