About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces is seeking contractors to provide comprehensive restroom repair services for Building 95 at the 18th Contracting Squadron (18 CONS) Office. The project requires all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to repair four restrooms, including architectural work such as replacement of interior finishes, doors, windows, vanities, and bathroom accessories, along with reconfiguration to meet ADA compliance standards for wheelchair accessibility. Mechanical repairs encompass replacement of exhaust fans, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, domestic water systems, vent piping, and sanitary sewer systems, while electrical work includes new lighting fixtures, controls, and receptacles. The scope also includes hazardous material abatement for identified Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) and Lead-Based Paint (LBP), along with provision of temporary bathroom facilities during construction. This solicitation was posted on April 14, 2025, with proposals due by July 9, 2025, though no specific evaluation criteria were detailed in the notice.
This opportunity operates under no set-aside designation, making it open to all qualified contractors. The work will be performed at Kadena Air Base in Nakagami District, Okinawa, Japan, indicating an overseas construction project requiring contractors capable of international operations. The project falls under NAICS code 236220 for Commercial and Institutional Building Construction and PSC code Z2AA for Repair or Alteration of Office Buildings. No incumbent contractors, award values, or specific project timeline beyond the proposal deadline were identified in the solicitation notice. The international location and comprehensive scope suggest this is a substantial renovation project requiring specialized expertise in both construction and hazardous material handling.
