The U.S. Department of State, U.S. Embassy Baku is seeking to procure LV AVR Restoration Equipment through Request for Quotation (RFQ) number 19AJ2024Q0018. The equipment is required to provide stable, reliable power to downstream electrical systems, including sensitive computer equipment, at the U.S. Embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan. Quotations are due by August 8, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. Baku time and must be submitted electronically. The U.S. Government intends to award a contract or purchase order to the responsible company submitting the lowest acceptable offer, without further discussions if possible.
This procurement is set aside for Small Businesses. The government has determined that only the original equipment manufacturer, Watford Control Instruments Ltd, can provide the required spare parts, which are critical components of the automatic voltage regulator (AVR) system. The estimated cost of the procurement is $17,158.24. The agency plans to replace the entire generator and AVR system in 2026, at which point they may be able to open the requirement up to full and open competition.
