About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City Facility Management Office intends to solicit brand-new Lutron lighting controllers and drivers (spare parts) for the New Embassy Compound on a sole-source basis, with a solicitation launch date not yet specified. The estimated procurement value is $49,672.00. Place of performance is Mexico City, Mexico. The requirement consists of 32 Lutron controller components and 29 LED driver units specified by exact OEM part numbers and models; no substitutions are accepted. Controller items include light management hubs, energy saver nodes, daylight sensors, motion sensors, power modules, and various switch and interface components. LED drivers range from 26.6W to 150W units operating at 277V in the Lutron LED Ecosystem. The solicitation will be issued as an RFQ with full specifications, part numbers, quantities, and delivery requirements provided upon launch. Sole-source justification rests on the proprietary nature of the end-to-end Lutron system integration already installed at the facility, incompatibility risks with alternative manufacturers' components, potential warranty voidance, and the necessity of maintaining system integrity and operational reliability. The Bureau of Overseas Building Operations has reviewed and approved the spare parts list. All quotations must be submitted electronically. Offerors must be registered in SAM.gov at the time of submission; failure to register will render proposals non-responsive.
