About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps is seeking qualified vendors to provide liquefied petroleum (LP) gas delivery, tank rental, monitoring, and maintenance services through a two-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Facilities Maintenance Department, Utilities Branch is the procuring entity for this requirement, classified under NAICS code 221210 (Natural Gas Distribution). Key contract requirements include automatic tank refilling when tanks reach 20% capacity, electronic tank monitoring capabilities, and the ability to add or remove tanks as needed to support multiple Marine Corps facilities. The contract anticipates delivery of approximately 273,000 gallons of LP gas over the two-year performance period, with task orders to be issued quarterly. The original proposal deadline was December 8, 2025, which was extended to December 11, 2025 at 12:00 PM EDT via solicitation amendment; questions regarding the requirement must be submitted to Contract Specialist Aaron M. Avery at aaron.m.avery.civ@usmc.mil by November 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST, with responses to be posted as amendments.
This solicitation is set aside 100% for Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) concerns, restricting competition to qualified small businesses meeting this designation requirement. The contract will run from January 1, 2026 through December 31, 2027, with an anticipated award date of December 31, 2025. Services will be performed at four locations in Eastern North Carolina: Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Bogue, Marine Corps Auxiliary Landing Field Atlantic, and Columbia Towers. Specific facility requirements include provisioning various sized propane tanks ranging from 100 to 1,000 gallons, with notable requirements such as four 1,000-gallon tanks for a Firehouse and five 1,000-gallon tanks for a Motor Transport facility. Prospective contractors must be registered in both the System for Award Management (SAM) and the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) invoicing system to be eligible for award and payment; pricing must be firm-fixed for the full two-year contract period and at or below open market rates.
