About this opportunity
The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center (NIH-CC) published a Notice of Intent on March 23, 2026, regarding the procurement of licensing and support services for the RA600 Workstation Software. This is not a Request for Proposal but rather a notification of the agency's intent to pursue a sole-source acquisition with General Electric Company. The procurement is justified under 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, which permit non-competitive acquisitions when only one responsible source can meet agency requirements. The Department of Radiology and Imaging Science requires these services to maintain its technologist workstation that modifies structural and demographic components of radiology examinations. The estimated contract value is $21,182.00 for a one-year period of performance from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2027.
The primary objective is to sustain critical radiology imaging operations by securing proprietary software licensing and technical support services that are exclusively available from GE Healthcare, as the company's RA600 system integrates with the department's existing Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and Radiology Information System (RIS). Prior market research spanning three years confirmed no suitable alternative systems exist. Interested vendors must submit capability statements by March 31, 2026 at 12:00 PM Eastern Standard Time to valerie.gregorio@nih.gov with the subject line referencing NOI-CC-26-003610. There are no specific eligibility restrictions; any responsible source capable of providing the required services may submit a capability statement for consideration. The Government retains sole discretion to determine whether to compete the requirement based on responses received, though the acquisition is structured as a firm-fixed-price contract with General Electric Company as the anticipated vendor.
