The primary objective of this Special Notice is to provide a public notification of the Library of Congress's intention to sole-source the service agreement directly to Bruker Scientific, LLC. The contract includes annual maintenance, which encompasses one maintenance visit per year, comprehensive repairs, help desk support, and yearly inspection of the instrument's components. Eligibility is explicitly limited to Bruker Scientific, as they are the sole authorized provider of warranty services for this specific instrument. The service agreement covers technical support, remote diagnostics, software updates, and an unconditional warranty on parts and labor. Work will be performed at the Library of Congress Preservation Research and Testing Division in Washington, DC, during standard business hours. This notice serves as the only public communication regarding the contract and fulfills the requirements for public posting of the Justification and Approval (J&A) documentation.
