The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) type with a base year and four option years, procured under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13 for commercial items and simplified acquisition procedures. The agency intends to solicit proposals for these services, which will be evaluated according to standards outlined in the forthcoming solicitation. This procurement is planned for Fiscal Year 2025, with a pre-solicitation notice posted on January 24, 2025, and a response deadline of January 27, 2025. While no immediate response is required, potential vendors should prepare for the upcoming solicitation.
The contract opportunity is designated as a 100% small business set-aside, with a North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 812331 and a small business size standard of $40 million. This classification indicates the procurement is specifically targeted to small businesses in the linen supply and laundry services sector. The specific services will be for laundry and mat services at the specified military base, though precise quantities and detailed service requirements are not yet disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice. Interested small businesses should review the NAICS code 812331 to confirm eligibility and prepare for the potential competitive bidding process.
