About this opportunity
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a Firm Fixed Price contract modification valued at $1,073,577 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation on April 1, 2026, for a last-time buy of antennas (part numbers 1030-3005-003, 1030-3005-004, and ADC5459) supporting the GQM-163A Supersonic Sea-Skimming Target (SSST) system. The GQM-163A is an aerial target system used for weapon systems testing, evaluation, and Fleet training that emulates anti-ship cruise missiles. This non-competitive procurement was justified under Title 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1) due to Northrop Grumman's status as the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the system following its acquisition of Orbital Sciences Corporation in 2018, which had originally won the competitive contract in 2000.
