About this opportunity
The Louisiana National Guard (LANG) is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive facility and services for its Youth Leadership Camp and Camp Pelican Pride, a summer program for children of National Guard members. The Department of the Army National Guard will procure lodging, conference spaces, dining accommodations, and recreational activities for approximately 190 participants from June 22-30, 2025, in Norwood, LA. Key contract requirements include providing 105 twin-sized sleeping beds, separate male and female lodging areas, conference spaces with specific seating capacities, and multiple recreational facilities such as a rock wall, zip-line, swimming area, archery range, and hiking trails. The procurement will evaluate vendors' ability to meet comprehensive facility needs, including medical personnel, wireless internet, commercial laundry, and exclusive venue use. Responses to this pre-solicitation notice are due by April 8, 2025, with the government aiming to assess market capabilities and determine an appropriate acquisition strategy.
The contract is designated as a total small business set-aside, targeting vendors in the Hotels (except Casino Hotels) and Motels NAICS category (721110). The event will host two age groups: teenagers 14-18 years old for the Youth Leadership Camp and children 8-13 years old for the Kids' Annual Training. While specific award value is not disclosed, the comprehensive requirements suggest a significant scope of services needed. The facility must accommodate 190 participants with 60-person dining capacity, providing three meals daily with pre-approved menus. Notably, the camp will be supervised by National Guard members and volunteers, with structured daily activities designed to engage and develop youth participants. The procurement process will focus on finding a vendor capable of delivering a safe, engaging, and fully-equipped environment for this specialized summer program.
