About this opportunity

The Naval Sea Systems Command, through the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division at Keyport, is conducting market research for the removal of thirteen existing twenty-foot ladder extensions and installation of twelve new twenty-foot aluminum ladders at pier locations. The new ladders must be constructed from 6061 marine-grade aluminum with material comparable to Schedule 40, 2-inch square tubing and will be shackled in place at the facility. A critical qualification requirement is that contractors must possess Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 certification under DFARS 204.75 before being eligible for contract award, with compliance verified through the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) prior to award. This is a sources sought notice and Request for Information (RFI) rather than a formal solicitation, meaning interested parties should submit responses to a questionnaire that addresses their business information, CMMC status, technical capability, estimated costs, setup timeline, and intent to propose. The response deadline for the Questionnaire for Industry is May 4, 2026, and completed forms must be submitted via email to john.p.gathu.mil@us.navy.mil.

No set-aside designation has been applied to this procurement opportunity. The notice does not identify any incumbent contractors or current service providers for this work. No award value or budget range is specified in the pre-solicitation notice, as this is a market research phase intended to assess contractor capabilities and availability prior to formal solicitation development. Respondents should note that submission of information is purely voluntary and the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred in responding to this sources sought notice. Contractors must ensure compliance with Operations Security (OPSEC) requirements and must not include classified, controlled unclassified, or arms export controlled information in their responses.
