About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking information on alternative Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS)-free, High Efficiency Synthetic Particulate Air (HESPA) filtration media for use in the Joint Service General Purpose Mask (JSGPM) M61, GP, and C2A1 canisters. The key objectives are to understand the current availability, developmental solutions, and production status of PFAS-free particulate filtration media that can meet or exceed the Government's performance specifications for particulate protection, chemical warfare agent challenge, and flame resistance. Respondents should address production readiness and integration capabilities. There is no set-aside designation for this requirement. The Government has not provided any details on potential incumbents or current contractors. Similarly, no award values or budget ranges have been specified. The RFI does note that funding support may be available to assist with development costs for refining PFAS-free media and its incorporation into current or equivalent filters, but no further details are provided.
