About this opportunity

The Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Avon Protection Systems to procure Chemical-Biological Protective M69 Mask Systems. The procurement includes M69 mask systems, aircraft kits, spares, special tools, as well as program management, systems engineering, and non-recurring engineering services to support continuing aircraft integration testing over an 84 month period of performance. The M69 Mask System was selected to meet requirements for fixed-wing aircraft that do not have Pressure Breathing for Gravity capabilities or ejection capabilities and do not fly above 40,000 feet. The justification for a sole source award is that the Government does not possess the required technical data package or detailed design specification to successfully compete production of the M69 Mask System. Responses are due by July 13, 2018.

There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. Avon Protection Systems is identified as the potential incumbent and current contractor for the M69 Mask System. The Government files do not provide key numerical details such as potential award values or quantities being procured.
