About this opportunity
Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground, on behalf of Joint Project Manager Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Integrated Early Warning (JPM CBRN IEW), intends to solicit a Chemical Vapor Collector system capable of handheld or positionable deployment in dismounted tactical configurations, with responses to a Request for Information due July 3, 2026.
The Government seeks independently qualified and production-capable systems for full-rate production and worldwide deployment. The Chemical Vapor Collector must collect and/or preconcentrate known and unknown vapor and aerosol chemical hazards for subsequent analysis via mass spectrometry or equivalent analytical methods. Intended operational use spans post-attack monitoring, base defense, decontamination assurance, demasking, dismounted reconnaissance, and field confirmatory chemical analysis in forward operating locations.
This RFI constitutes market research to validate technical readiness, manufacturing readiness, and current production capabilities of existing commercial or government-developed solutions before proceeding to formal solicitation. The Government is updating market research from both Government and industry sources to ensure available capabilities are current and accurate.
No set-aside applies. NAICS 334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing); PSC 6640 (Laboratory Equipment and Supplies).
