About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Subsistence has issued a Sources Sought Notice seeking market research feedback regarding Jalapeno Cashews and Toaster Pastry snack components for the Unitized Group Rations (UGR) Heat and Serve and UGR Marines (UGR-M) programs. This is not a formal solicitation but rather an inquiry to assess industrial base capacity, acquisition alternatives, and supplier interest in the program. Key objectives include identifying suppliers capable of meeting increased quantity requirements and accelerated delivery timelines to support Department of Defense contingencies and peacetime emergency operations. The government is particularly interested in suppliers' capability to surge production for early delivery and to sustain elevated production and delivery rates throughout potential contingencies. The response deadline for this Sources Sought Notice is November 26, 2025, and respondents should provide company information, business size classification, points of contact, relevant experience, production capacity details, and current certifications or qualifications.

This notice includes no set-aside designations, and no incumbent contractors or current award values are specified in the available documentation. Responders are not required to submit formal proposals, and the government will not compensate participants for information provided or commit to any future business as a result of this market research initiative. Proprietary information submitted by respondents will be protected if appropriately marked. While specific quantity requirements and award values are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the focus on surge and sustainment capabilities suggests the government anticipates potential large-scale procurement needs. Interested suppliers should respond with detailed information about their production capabilities, supply chain infrastructure, and capacity to meet contingency-driven delivery requirements by the November 26, 2025 deadline.
