About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa (USAFE-AFAFRICA) has issued a Special Notice regarding the extension of a Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) program for Ramstein Air Base and Spangdahlem Air Base. The notice covers six existing contracts with various German construction firms, including F.K. Horn GmbH, SKE GmbH, Mickan GmbH & Co. KG, BBGS GmbH, J&J Worldwide Services, and Wolff & Muller GmbH KG. Originally awarded in January 2020 with a $425M ceiling, the contract supports a broad range of design-build, sustainment, maintenance, repair, alteration, renovation, and minor construction projects for the Kaiserslautern Military Community and Spangdahlem Air Base areas. The extension will be implemented through a supplemental agreement that adds up to six months to the existing contracts.
The primary objective of this contract extension is to bridge the gap between the current MACC IDIQ contracts and a new solicitation, supporting ongoing infrastructure modernization for Nuclear Surety and European Deterrence Initiative missions. The extension period will run from January 15, 2025, to July 14, 2025, during which 38 stand-alone construction projects are identified. Contractors who were part of the original six IDIQ contracts remain eligible to continue work under the extended terms. The contract's scope and design elements will remain unchanged, with the existing $425M ceiling maintained. An Request for Information (RFI) was issued on November 21, 2024, regarding the extension, and the follow-on MACC solicitation (FA56325R0001) closed on December 6, 2024. The extension provides continuity of critical construction and maintenance services for military infrastructure in the region.
