About this opportunity

Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center San Diego intends to award a sole source contract to Stratasys, Inc. for maintenance services of a PolyJet 3D printer owned by the Department of Physics. The required services include phone support during business hours, on-site service visits within three business days for preventative maintenance, spare parts, waste containers, and priority service scheduling with certified field service representatives. While this is a notice of intent for sole source procurement, the agency will consider capability statements from other responsible sources that demonstrate the ability to provide equivalent maintenance services for the specific printer with Serial Number G7000035. Interested vendors must submit capability statements not exceeding six pages with technical data and cost information that clearly demonstrate their maintenance capabilities. The deadline for capability statement submissions is 4:00 PM PST on August 13, 2025, with submissions accepted only via email to the designated contracting officer.

This procurement has no set-aside designation and uses the sole source authority under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) based on only one responsible source being reasonably available. Stratasys, Inc., located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is the intended awardee due to their proprietary Emerald Care Direct Service Plan that specifically supports the government's PolyJet printer. The contract will be structured as a commercial, firm fixed price purchase order under NAICS code 811210 for Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance. The anticipated award date is on or before September 15, 2025, though no specific contract value or duration is disclosed in the notice. The maintenance services are designed to keep the 3D printer in reliable operational condition, with requirements tailored to the specific needs of the Naval Postgraduate School's equipment.
