About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 8, has issued a Notice of Contract Action (NOCA) for maintenance services related to a Canon Aquilion Exceed CT SystemBase+4 radiological equipment at Miami VA Medical Center. This Special Notice announces the VA's intent to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc., using other than competitive procedures as authorized by VAAR 819.7007. The contract is classified under Product Service Code J065 (Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild of Medical Equipment) and NAICS Code 423450 (Medical Equipment Merchant Wholesalers). The estimated contract value is approximately $697,037.00 if all option years are exercised, with an anticipated award date on or before March 3, 2026. This NOCA does not constitute a solicitation for quotes but rather notification of the agency's contracting intention.

The purpose of this Notice of Contract Action is to inform industry of the VA's intent to proceed with a sole source award while providing an opportunity for responsible sources to submit capabilities statements for future consideration. Interested contractors must submit written responses via email to Contracting Officer David Henry (David.Henry3@va.gov, 561-631-3352) no later than 2:00 PM EST on March 13, 2026. While there are no specific eligibility restrictions stated, the VA's justification for sole source procurement indicates that Canon Medical Systems USA, Inc., possesses unique authorization to provide maintenance services for this proprietary equipment. Capability statements submitted in response to this notice will be considered for future procurements but will not bind the agency to any course of action. No reimbursement will be provided for costs associated with preparing and submitting responses to this NOCA.
