The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Integrated Service Network 2, specifically the Regional Procurement Office East Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2), issued a Special Notice on November 25, 2025, announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to ARJO, Inc. for preventative maintenance services of ceiling lift patient equipment at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in Bronx, New York. This is not a competitive solicitation; however, the VA is allowing other firms to submit written notification if they believe they can meet the requirements prior to the December 4, 2025 deadline. The contract, identified as solicitation number 36C24226Q0169, will be classified under NAICS 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance) and PSC J065 (Maint/Repair/Rebuild Of Equipment). ARJO, Inc. is located at 2349 West Lake Street, Suite 250, Addison, Illinois 60101, and is being selected based on its exclusive status as the Original Equipment Manufacturer for the installed equipment.

The contract will run from April 15, 2026 to April 14, 2027, with four optional renewal years available. The VA justifies the sole source award to ARJO based on their exclusive capabilities as the OEM, including being the only authorized supplier of replacement parts, the sole provider of OEM-trained and certified technicians, and the only source for certified operator training and OEM documentation. Any firm wishing to challenge this sole source determination must submit written notification with supporting evidence demonstrating their ability to perform the requirements by 10:00 AM EST on December 4, 2025 to contract specialist Kimberly Wiatrowski. Responses should be directed via email and must contain sufficient detail to establish capability and capacity to meet all contract specifications.
