The procurement involves awarding a contract to Natus Medical Incorporated, located in Middleton, Wisconsin, for specific medical diagnostic equipment including AuDX PRO FLEX Diagnostic Tympanometry and Audiometry systems. Natus Medical is being selected as the sole distributor for these products in North America, with the equipment's selection driven by its proprietary nature and compatibility with existing Otosuite software at VA medical centers. The procurement falls under NAICS Code 334515 for Instrument Manufacturing and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals, with a size standard of 750 employees. The Special Notice was posted on April 7, 2025, with a response deadline of April 14, 2025.

Contractors interested in responding must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and submit written notifications demonstrating their capabilities via email to ricky.smith4@va.gov by April 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM Mountain Standard Time. While the notice is not a request for competitive proposals, the VA will evaluate any submitted responses, with the ultimate determination of proceeding with the sole source award remaining at the government's discretion. Eligible contractors must provide sufficient detailed evidence of their ability to perform the requirement for the estimated performance period. The VA will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding firms, and if no responses are received, the agency will proceed with awarding the contract to Natus Medical Incorporated. The estimated receipt of order is anticipated within 30 days after the contract award.
