About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration is soliciting hospital door replacement, repair, and preventive maintenance services for the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville, North Carolina. The scope of work includes emergency repairs, scheduled maintenance, and full door replacements as outlined in task orders issued throughout the contract period. Prospective contractors must be registered in the SAM database and maintain current information in the VA Financial Service Center Customer Engagement Portal to be eligible for award. The evaluation criteria require contractors to demonstrate qualifications, licensure, certifications, and relevant experience in commercial and industrial machinery and equipment repair and maintenance. The Request for Quotation was issued on October 6, 2025, with a response deadline of October 17, 2025 at 12:00 Eastern Time. Interested vendors should monitor SAM.gov using solicitation number 36C24626Q0083 for updates and direct technical questions to Contracting Officer Satasha Stewart.
This procurement is designated as a total Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) set-aside, restricting competition to qualified SDVOSB firms. If subcontracting is planned, prime contractors must demonstrate that they will provide at least 51 percent of the contract requirements. The contract will be structured as a Firm-Fixed, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) award with one annual base year and four annual option years, allowing for flexible task order issuance based on facility needs. The applicable NAICS code is 811310 with a size standard of $12.5 million, and the Product Service Code is J035 for maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of service and trade equipment. While no specific incumbent contractor is identified, and no explicit budget range is provided in the pre-solicitation notice, the five-year contract structure with multiple annual option years indicates a significant long-term commitment to ongoing facility maintenance operations.
