About this opportunity

The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) for the procurement of IUID (Item Unique Identification) printers to support operations at Anniston Army Depot. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment to contract or a formal request for quotations. Interested parties are requested to submit capability statements that include past performance examples of similar projects, recommended contracting strategies, and detailed responses addressing the adequacy of hardware specifications, software and integration pricing details, transition planning requirements, and any additional product definition needed to meet Government requirements. The Government is seeking feedback on whether sufficient details exist to accurately price hardware, software, and installation services, and what additional information would be necessary to develop a comprehensive transition plan. Responses to this RFI are due by May 7, 2026, with a delivery deadline of August 20, 2026, and all costs associated with responding are the responsibility of interested parties.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and identifies no incumbent contractors. The specific procurement calls for two Fusion Pro 24 Fiber 50w Epilog Laser printers (24 x 24 inches with high-speed engraving capability up to 165 inches per minute), two 25 psi Air Assist Pumps compatible with Fusion Pro systems, and two Fusion Maker-Edge Pro 24 units for shipping, along with on-site training as part of the delivery. No specific budget or award value has been disclosed in the RFI documentation. The equipment will be used to create stainless-steel identification tags for the Small Arms and Turbine Shop divisions using an existing workflow that integrates Bartender software with the MCDS TAMMSA database. This RFI does not preclude interested parties from participating in any future formal solicitation that may be issued.
