About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime is conducting a Sources Sought Notice to identify potential suppliers for an Inverter, Subassembly component (NSN 6130-01-702-2538) designated for use in the MD-Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle (AMPV). This is a preliminary market research initiative rather than a formal solicitation, designed to gauge supplier capabilities and interest in the marketplace. Interested companies must demonstrate compliance with a Higher Level Contract Quality System requirement certified to ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent standards, and must be capable of applying MIL STD-1916 quality standards. Additionally, suppliers must have the capability to meet pretreatment and CARC-painted material requirements for military applications. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice must be submitted electronically by January 9, 2026, with interested parties providing company information, CAGE codes, capability statements, quality certifications, lead times, and rough order of magnitude cost estimates.

This opportunity carries no set-aside designation and represents the current Espey MFG & Electronics, Corp. (CAGE 20950) manufacturing capability, though the government is actively seeking alternative and additional sources. While no specific award value or production quantity is detailed in this Sources Sought Notice, the procurement indicates a requirement for initial article delivery within 180 days from order placement, followed by subsequent production units. Responses should address manufacturing capabilities in areas such as machining, casting, and assembly, as well as any applicable payment or quantity discount structures that potential suppliers can offer. The government's request for estimated lead times and costs will inform the eventual formal solicitation strategy and competitive landscape for this electrical equipment component.
