About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to Advantor Systems II LLC for an Intrusion and Access Control System. This non-competitive procurement is being conducted under FAR 13.106-1(b), with the government determining that only one source is reasonably available to meet the specific requirement. The system will be installed at a government facility and monitored through the Base Defense Operations Center (BDOC). The notice emphasizes that this is not a request for competitive quotes, though the government will consider any quotes received by the specified deadline. The procurement is being managed by the 81st Contracting Squadron to support the 335th Training Squadron's requirements for Building 4329.
The primary purpose of this sole source justification is to procure Advantor's proprietary intrusion and access control system, which cannot be integrated with other distributors' equipment due to its unique technical specifications. Market research conducted by the contracting officer confirmed that Advantor's products possess complementary capabilities that cannot be satisfied by other manufacturers in the security systems market. Interested parties may submit quotes and capability statements via email to the designated contracting officers by 12:00 PM CST on July 18, 2025. While the government intends to proceed with the sole source award, it retains full discretion to determine whether to compete the contract based on any responses received. The procurement falls under NAICS code 561621 for Security Systems Services and PSC code 6350 for Miscellaneous Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems. No specific eligibility criteria beyond the technical capability to provide the required system are outlined in the notice.
