About this opportunity

The James A. Haley VA Medical Center issued a notice of intent on September 10, 2026 to sole-source award a Daily QA 4 Pro Wireless imaging system to Sun Nuclear Corporation under FAR 6.302-1, with a capability statement deadline of 12:00 PM EST on September 15, 2026. The sole-source determination rests on three critical capabilities: a unified all-in-one device integrating dosimetry, imaging, and positioning verification with no competing system offering consolidated capability; a high-density detector array of four vented ion chambers, 225 unattenuated diodes, and 24 attenuated diodes providing broad field-size coverage and high-resolution beam analysis not replicated in other QA platforms; and full automation and integrated reporting through SunCHECK v6.0+ enabling automated data acquisition and enterprise-level quality-assurance workflow management. The system will be deployed at the medical center's Tampa, Florida location. Interested parties believing they possess the capability and qualifications to meet these requirements may submit capability statements at no cost or obligation to the Government. No formal solicitation will be issued. The procurement falls under NAICS 334519 (Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing) with a size standard of 600 employees, and is categorized under PSC 6515 (Medical and Surgical Instruments, Equipment, and Supplies).
