About this opportunity
Norfolk Naval Shipyard intends to award a sole source Firm Fixed Price contract to GERBER TECHNOLOGY LLC for scheduled maintenance and periodic software support of Cutworks cutting machine software supporting two models: DCS2506 and DCS2. The Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command is seeking these commercial software maintenance services under NAICS code 541511 and PSC 7A21, justifying the sole source approach under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) as only one responsible source has been identified to meet the agency requirements. While this is not a competitive solicitation, interested vendors may submit capability statements demonstrating their ability to fulfill the requirements. Capability statements must be submitted via email only to Contract Specialist Jordan Moore at jordan.e.moore.civ@us.navy.mil and are limited to five pages maximum with 12-point font and 1.5 spacing. The solicitation is expected to be available around August 18, 2025, with capability statements due by August 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM EDT.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and specifically identifies GERBER TECHNOLOGY LLC (CAGE code: 5K062) as the intended sole source contractor. The notice does not specify contract values, budget ranges, or detailed quantities, focusing instead on the maintenance and support requirements for the existing cutting machine software systems. The contract will be structured as a single award arrangement covering both DCS2506 and DCS2 cutting machine models. The government reserves the right to determine whether to open the requirement to competition based on responses received, though any such decision remains solely at the government's discretion. The procurement falls under commercial item acquisition procedures as defined in FAR Part 12 and simplified acquisition procedures under FAR Part 13.
