About this opportunity

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is conducting market research to identify potential sources for instrumental sample analyses services. The contract seeks a contractor capable of performing scientific analyses using specialized instrumentation, including molecular signaling analyses, phage particle measurement, cyanobacteria inhibition studies, and trehalose measurement through techniques like HPLC and LC-MS. This is a sources sought synopsis, which means it is not a formal solicitation but rather a preliminary market research effort to gauge industry interest and capabilities. Interested companies with the NAICS code 541714 (Research and Development in Biotechnology) are invited to submit their qualifications by April 11, 2025, at 1:00 PM CST. Submission requirements include firm details, point of contact information, UEI/CAGE code, business size designation, and a ten-page capability statement.

The pre-solicitation notice does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, meaning businesses of all sizes can potentially compete for the opportunity. No specific award value or budget range is mentioned in the document. The research will be conducted under the Defense sector, specifically through the Department of the Army Corps of Engineers. Companies must be prepared to demonstrate their ability to perform complex scientific analyses using advanced biotechnology research techniques. While the document does not specify a precise contract duration or service quantity, it emphasizes the need for comprehensive scientific analysis capabilities. Businesses must be able to verify their small business certifications (such as HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned, Small Disadvantaged, or Woman-Owned) through the System for Award Management (SAM) if applicable.
