About this opportunity
The Department of the Army National Guard seeks inspection and six-year maintenance of portable fire extinguishers, with quotes due August 13, 2026 by 11:00 a.m. CDT and questions due August 6, 2026 by 1:00 p.m. CDT. The procurement is set aside for Total Small Businesses under NAICS 541990.
Place of performance is Memphis, Tennessee (164th Airlift Wing). The contractor shall inspect and maintain approximately 410 portable fire extinguishers of multiple types—5, 10, and 20 lb. ABC, BC, Purple K, Class K, and Class D—in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.157 and NFPA 10 standards. All extinguishers must carry UL ratings and be rechargeable. The period of performance is 60 days. Maintenance includes overhaul, repair, recharging per manufacturer recommendations, and replacement of service collars, o-rings, valve stems, and inspection tags. The Government will not conduct hydrostatic testing; if an extinguisher fails inspection, the Government removes it from inventory. The contractor must coordinate with the Installation Fire Chief for delivery and installation, tag each unit with company name, technician name, inspection date, and any repairs performed, and provide documentation with 99% accuracy compliance. All contractor and subcontractor employees must complete AT Level I (Antiterrorism Awareness Level I) training within 30 calendar days after contract start.
Evaluation uses a "Lowest Price Acceptable" methodology. Offerors must provide individual unit pricing by extinguisher size and a total firm-fixed price. The Government intends to award to a single vendor capable of providing all requested services, though partial quotes may be considered if necessary. No contract award will be made until appropriated funds are made available. PSC code is H312, Inspection—Fire Control Equipment.
