About this opportunity
USTRANSCOM is conducting market research through a Request for Information on autonomous and semi-autonomous transportation capabilities across all modes—air, land, sea, and multi-modal—for passenger and cargo movements, with responses due May 26, 2026 by 12:00 PM CST. No set-aside applies.
Respondents must address seven information categories: company profile and commercial experience; fielded autonomous or semi-autonomous platforms with payload capacities, operational range, operating environments, and Technology Readiness Level; developmental roadmap for platforms in research and development with projected timelines and milestones over 3 to 10 years; scalability and flexibility across small-scale to massive capacity lifts and dynamic routing; interoperability with existing logistics nodes, material handling equipment, and command and control networks; cybersecurity and resilience against cyber threats and electronic interference in contested environments; and regulatory navigation strategies for compliance with FAA, IMO, and DOT requirements.
Submissions must remain unclassified in PDF or standard commercial formats, limited to 15 pages excluding cover page and marketing brochures. This RFI does not constitute a Request for Proposal, promise of future solicitation, or government payment obligation. USTRANSCOM seeks information to understand how autonomous technologies can enhance safety, efficiency, velocity, and global reach in support of globally integrated mobility operations and the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise.
Responses should be directed to Ms. Brenda Marshall, USTRANSCOM Directorate of Acquisition, at brenda.l.marshall10.civ@mail.mil or 618-817-9385.
