About this opportunity
The U.S. Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration seeks to award up to 11 contracts through solicitation 1630DC-20-R-00020 to industry intermediaries to launch, promote, and expand multi-employer registered apprenticeship programs in high-growth industries. Intermediaries must facilitate enrollment of at least 1,500 new apprentices over 24 months with 50% from underrepresented populations, increase opportunities through outreach and recruitment, develop standards and curricula, and provide subject matter experts. Proposals will be evaluated based on experience in apprenticeship programs, stakeholder engagement plans, and sustainability strategies, with a deadline of April 28, 2020 for submission.
There is no set-aside designation. The main NAICS codes include 611430 and 624310. Contractors may receive up to $400,000 annually after the initial two-year base period to support ongoing program sustainability. Intermediaries will launch apprenticeship programs across information technology, cybersecurity, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, transportation and logistics, and energy industries over a 24 month period beginning in 2020.

Update #2 · Latest ·
RESPONSES TO QUESTIONS AND AN AMENDMENT HAVE BEEN POSTED.
The U.S. Department of Labor's (DOL) Employment and Training Administration's (ETA) Office of Apprenticeship (OA) is soliciting proposals to award up to 11 contracts to industry intermediaries. “Industry Intermediary”, for this purpose is an entity that serves as a conduit between employers, as well as other industry partners, and OA to accelerate apprenticeship program development and help broker new sector-based apprenticeship partnerships at the regional and national level.
The goal of these contracts will be to launch, promote, and expand multi-employer Registered Apprenticeship models that will scale Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) expansion opportunities in high-growth industries, including those that have not traditionally used apprenticeship to meet employer and sector needs; 2) increase the percentage of Registered Apprenticeship opportunities for under-represented populations; and 3) leverage Registered Apprenticeship stakeholder resources to support the long-term sustainability of programs developed through this initiative after project completion. This includes, but is not limited to, the following high-growth industries: Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Telecommunications and 5g, Advanced Manufacturing, Hospitality, Healthcare and Health IT, Transportation and Logistics, and Energy. The solicitation will be released on or about April 7, 2020.
