About this opportunity

The National Park Service is conducting an Industry Day on October 14–15, 2026, to solicit industry knowledge regarding relocation of the Fort Caroline Memorial at the Timucuan Ecological & Historic Preserve in northeast Florida. No funds are currently available and this is not a solicitation; the announcement seeks up to eight interested firms in one-hour slots to inform government decision-making and potentially affect scope of a follow-on construction contract anticipated in Summer 2027. The project involves relocating the memorial exhibit approximately 300 feet southeast to higher elevation outside the floodplain, reducing chronic storm and tidal damage while improving safety. Work includes demolishing the existing fort exhibit, filling the moat, regrading, installing new accessible paths with ABA compliance, and constructing new exhibit structures using rammed earth-style formed concrete walls, Corten steel railings and beams, and composite decking. NPS has awarded an A&E Task Order to Houser Walker Architecture LLC in FY26 for design. Six one-hour slots are available October 14 (9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET) and two slots October 15 (12:30 PM to 1:30 PM ET). Registration closes October 7, 2026; interested firms must submit full name, company name, and email address to Cole Johnson, Contracting Officer, at Cole_Johnson@ios.doi.gov on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendance is limited to three people per contractor group; all costs are attendee responsibility.
