About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Mobile District has issued a Special Notice regarding an upcoming Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for construction and repair projects in Central America. The notice announces a series of Industry Day events scheduled for December 2024 across four Central American countries: Guatemala, Panama, Honduras, and El Salvador. These events are designed to provide potential contractors with detailed information about future construction and infrastructure requirements in the region. USACE is specifically seeking experienced contractors capable of handling design, construction, and repair projects for facilities, utilities, and infrastructure. The agency plans to generate broad interest in the upcoming contract opportunities, with formal solicitation anticipated in January 2025.

Contractors interested in participating must complete registration processes in both SAM.gov and PIEE.eb.mil prior to the industry day events to ensure access to future solicitation documents. Interested firms are required to register by December 3, 2024, by contacting Cesar Sabillon via email at Cesar.m.Sabillon.ln@usace.army.mil. The industry day events will provide critical information about project requirements and proposal submission procedures, with each location hosting a 3:00 PM local time session at specific venues like the Guatemalan Chamber of Construction and the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects. While no specific set-aside has been designated, the contract appears targeted at contractors with demonstrated experience in complex construction and repair projects in Central American contexts. Solicitations will exclusively be announced on SAM.gov, with proposals to be submitted through the PIEE.eb.mil platform, emphasizing the importance of early system registration and preparation.
