About this opportunity
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a comprehensive nationwide healthcare services contract focused on testing, assessment, therapeutics, vaccines, and emergency response capabilities. The contract will encompass large-scale services including sample collection, medical countermeasure distribution, outreach and education projects, and third-party data acquisition. This procurement will be conducted as a full and open competition under NAICS code 621999 for Miscellaneous Ambulatory Health Care Services. Potential offerors should note the pre-solicitation notice was posted on December 4, 2024, with questions to be directed to BT Pritchard (jbc3@cdc.gov) and Jorge Morales (xvx7@cdc.gov) before the December 19, 2024 deadline. The actual RFP is expected to be released between late December 2024 and early January 2025.
The contract will be structured as a multiple award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Fixed Price contract with a five-year base period, covering the performance timeframe of June 1, 2025 through May 31, 2030. The small business size standard is set at $20.5 million, though this is not a small business set-aside contract. Task orders issued against the IDIQ may include additional option periods, providing flexibility for the government's evolving healthcare service needs. While specific award values were not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of services suggests a significant potential contract value. The multiple award approach indicates the CDC anticipates selecting several contractors to fulfill the diverse range of required healthcare and emergency response services across the nation.
